Fall Aspens Original Watercolor Painting

This original watercolor painting of aspen trees in the fall brings the outdoors inside and is sure to brighten up most any, den, bedroom, hallway, nursery. It's an artistic piece of sophisticated art that is very affordable. A one of a kind original.

I used high quality Arches watercolor paper and Yarka paints for this image. You'll see some texture behind the trees and sun in this painting which are obtained through the use of some fine quality rice paper that was adhered to the watercolor paper and painted upon as well. I love the way the watercolors bleed into the tissue to give a more organic feel to the painting.

** TITLE: Confetti Aspens
** SIZE: 20" x 24" matted and framed; image size is 11" x 13" Available on Etsy or in my shop.

Artistic and functional, these ceramic colanders or berry bowls are just perfect for fresh berries starting to come in from the fields this spring.
I make them on my pottery wheel out of durable, white stoneware clay, incising decorative holes in the sides and lid to allow air flow and drainage as you rinse your berries or vegetables. And a little leaf shaped plate is included to catch any drips.

I have these in a variety of colors.
These ceramic berry bowls are available in my shop both online in my Etsy shop and physical shop in Steamboat Springs.

Mini Colander Spoon

$ 24 USD

Includes Shipping

A new item that I came up with when we needed a new spoon for the black olives that my husband loves -- a tiny colander spoon - slotted serving spoon or scoop for lifting olives or berries or anything out of juice to transfer it to your plate. A cute kitchen food prep item. And works great for lifting a teabag out of your teacup.

This spoon is approximately 7" long and around 2" will hold three to six medium olives. I made it as durable as possible by embedding a wire between the bowl of the spoon and its handle but I still would recommend hand washing since something this small can easily get crushed or bumped in the dishwasher.

These are available in green, yellow, purple, robin's egg blue, red, peach and navy blue. Use the note to seller at check out to choose your color.

If you would like more than one, please give me a call at 970-846-9349 or visit this listing at my Etsy shop:

Wall Vase in Granny Square Design

$ 80 USD

My mom was a wonderful quilter and this vase is a tribute to her beautiful work. It's a  great piece of wall art as well as functional pottery. This sculptured and carved hanging vase makes a conversation piece for most any room of the house or just a wonderful, colorful piece of artwork for your best friend, boss, favorite aunt, etc.

I created this artistic vessel by handbuilding some porcelain/stoneware clay and then carving in the design which is reminiscent of granny squares in a patchwork quilt. I use pottery stains and glazes in shades of blues and greens for the color.

It's gorgeous with or without flowers inside and can be used to hold pens and scissors or other things as well.

This pocket vase measures 5" high x 10" across and about 1" deep and is designed to hold water if you wish to place fresh flowers in it. It has a hanging wire on the back and is ready to place anywhere in your home or office today.

In addition to the pottery you see throughout this newsletter, you'll also find some original paintings. I'm a two-medium artist and have recently gotten back into painting using watercolor pigments on fine quality paper.

Art Cards are actually mini watercolor paintings done directly on Strathmore acid free card stock and come with a matching envelope enclosed in a protective cellophane sleeve. Blank inside so you can write your own message. 5" x 7" and suitable for framing. $10 each. You can find my full line of watercolor art cards here.

Bring the bright colors of summer flowers into your home or office with this original watercolor painting. Framed, it measures 14" x 17" and is very affordable at $120 for an original piece of art. You can find it online in my etsy fine art shop.

Or stop into my studio in Steamboat Springs to see many of the original works I have available. They can also be seen at Harwig's Restaurant/Gallery during July and in the Center for Visual Arts, both in downtown Steamboat Springs, CO.
